Our Buy Lists and Policies [Our Conditions Page]

Please note all purchases are subject to our written buying policy, detailed at the end of each buy list and on the below FAQ. These lists are provided for your information only. These lists are not an offer to buy any items listed. Sending us a card constitutes an offer to sell by your part the item "as is". Troll And Toad reserves the right to refuse any offer made to us.

Q: How do you grade cards?
A:
Each card is carefully evaluated by a person with over five years of experience in grading collectible cards. Examine our card condition page to accurately grade the cards you send to us. <top>
 
Q: Will you buy cards not listed?
A:
No, we only buy items listed. If you keep checking on our site, we change our buy lists about once every one to two weeks. <top>
 
Q: Do you give more in trade for cards?
A:
Yes, we will give 10% more in trade value than we pay in cash. For example, if you send us $100 in value in what we normally pay cash, we will issue you instead $110 credit if you wish. This amount is issued in the form of a credit against an order, so you can redeem the credit on our site. <top>
 
Q: How long does it take to get payment?
A:
On average, it takes between 2 to 7 days after receiving items for us to confirm what we want to pay you for the items. If you approve the offer, we will arrange a check to be mailed within 5 business days of your acceptance of the offer. <top>
 
Q: Do you always pay the full amount of what I ask for?
A:
Yes, we often do. However, if we disagree with the grading you gave a card or we do not want to buy as many copies of an item as what you sent or our buy prices changed between the time you sent the item and we received it, we will send you our offer indicating why we are offering a different amount. If you do not like the changed price, we will ship back to you (at our expense) any items you no longer want to sell us at the new price. <top>
 
Q: Who is responsible for shipping?
A:
You are responsible for paying the shipping costs of the items you send to us, including insurance. We are responsible for paying the shipping costs of any items being returned to you, including insurance. <top>
 
Q: Can I ship your cards COD?
A:
We accept all shipments strictly on an approval basis. Meaning, we examine them before we issue payment. Therefore, you cannot ship to us COD. We pay by sending you a US company check drawn on US funds. We also will pay by wire transfer (if shipment worth more than $1000.00) and we can now also pay by Paypal. <top>
 
Q: Will you buy all the cards I send you?
A:
We reserve the right to refuse to buy any items sent to us. If we do not want to make an offer on items, we will pay to have them returned to you (at our expense). <top>
 
Q: How do I send you the cards I want to sell?
A:
First, e-mail an alphabetical list by set of the cards and/or items to buyertroll@trollandtoad.com. Make sure you list the price we are paying from our buy list next to each card, and indicate at the end of your e-mail as to whether you want to be paid cash or trade. Once we approve your list, please ship the cards to us at:

Please include the following: 

  • A printout of the e-mail you received back with the list of cards.
  • Insure the package for the amount you expect to receive for it.
  • Ship all cards in cards boxes. Do not ship in 9-pocket sleeves. They will fall out and get damaged.
  • Write your full name, address, phone number and e-mail address on the print out in the box. If you don’t have a printer, write or type out the e-mail you got back on pieces of paper with all the information we asked for.

NOTE: We are not responsible for your cards and/or items until we receive them. Please ship all items insured.
